After A Storm
May 1, 2002
The fog is back hanging over Manhattan as thunder storms roll in from across the Hudson…
I just rode way down to 2d Street and Avenue B, where I dropped off a minidisc of new songs for cellist Julia Kent to learn for our May 17th Sidewalk performance. I also called drummer Clayton Pettis today, and I’m hopeful he’ll join us for what is shaping up to be a really cool show. I’m excited for it. I hope it’s a trio you’ll see as often as my rock band. I love having the different outlets: the big Gooey rock, the somber acoustic, and, soon, thanks to Electroland frontman and producer Kevin Anthony, the rhythmic and remixed.
So I’m working on regaining some optimism.
The sky is always clearer after a storm.
