Sugarloaf, New York
March 17, 2002
Spent my Saint Patrick’s Day mountain biking and hiking with my friend/bassist Jeff Domanski where he grew up in Sugarloaf, New York.
We rode all afternoon, hiked Sugarloaf Mountain, then grabbed a beer and a burger at The Trading Post, a greasy spoon just north of the Bear Mountain bridge over the Hudson River.
I always forget how easy it is to get out of the city to the fresh air, and how essential. So restorative. So exhausting. It was the best way to shake too many Saturday night drinks at my cousin Brian’s 30th birthday party.
